Current Needs

Your generous support makes everything we do meaningful and life changing. Putting state-of-the-art medical equipment and the best technology available into the hands of our dedicated health-care professionals ensures that patients at Burnaby Hospital receive the highest standard of care.

Government funding covers hospital-operating costs, but it does not provide enough to purchase the expensive medical equipment and technological upgrades necessary in today's health care setting.

Over the past 15 years, donors have provided approximately $21 million toward medical equipment and technology at Burnaby Hospital. This amount represents nearly half of the total dollars spent on medical equipment at the hospital.

In 2016, donations helped purchase equipment such as:

  • Fetal Monitor
  • Specialized ICU beds
  • Birthing Bed
  • Ultrasound
  • Electrosurgical Unit
  • Transport Ventilator
  • Ceiling Lift
  • Microscope
  • Endoscope
  • Orthopedic Surgery Tools
