Current Needs

Your generous support makes everything we do meaningful and life changing. Putting state-of-the-art medical equipment and the best technology available into the hands of our dedicated health-care professionals ensures that patients at Burnaby Hospital receive the highest standard of care.

Government funding covers hospital-operating costs, but it does not provide enough to purchase the expensive medical equipment and technological upgrades necessary in today's health care setting.

Since 2002, donors have provided approximately $21 million toward medical equipment and technology. This represents nearly 50% — yes, half of the total dollars spent on medical equipment at Burnaby Hospital.

In 2016, donations helped purchase equipment such as:

  • Fetal Monitor
  • Specialized ICU beds
  • Birthing Bed
  • Ultrasound
  • Electrosurgical Unit
  • Transport Ventilator
  • Ceiling Lift
  • Microscope
  • Endoscope
  • Orthopedic Surgery Tools
